a weekend in pictures

I decided to make apple empanadas. Whomever stole them (yes, right from my car)
got a tasty treat. 

The craziness is almost over. Keyword "almost". Last week we celebrated Charlie's first birthday and his first Halloween where we dressed him up (last year he was still in the nicu and we were unable to). It was also filled with doctor appointments and preparing for his first birthday fiesta this weekend. Charlie had family from all over the place in town for his fiesta - lucky boy! This weekend was family and friend filled and it's made me homesick for the east coast in the worst way. I can't talk about it too much without bursting into tears. I can't wait to share some of the amazing recipes I found when coming up with ideas for his party.

Lauren and I hit up Dave & Busters for some QT. We're pretty darn amazing when it comes
to skee ball, trivia games & mario cart. 

A few little kids wanted to know how many tickets we won and then wanted to know
what we decided to get with our tickets. 

We won enough tickets to get food choppers (homemade salsa here we come!). The
kids were disappointed we got these. We still have tickets left over. We decided D&B
is better than Vegas. That might be the 10 year old boy in us talking.
